2025–2026 Roadmap

Our strategic plan is organised by quarter, with clear goals and measurable objectives aligned to AIGA's mission of building confidence and capability in responsible AI across Hampshire and the Solent.

Q1

Foundation & Launch

April – June 2025

Goals

  • Establish AIGA governance structure and Steering Group
  • Launch the AIGA brand, website, and digital presence
  • Recruit founding partners across academia, industry, and government

Objectives

  • Appoint Steering Group members and hold inaugural meeting
  • Onboard a minimum of 20 founding partners
  • Publish governance framework and transparency commitments
  • Launch community hub and partner directory
Q2

Engagement & Skills

July – September 2025

Goals

  • Launch Working Groups across four thematic areas
  • Begin AI skills mapping and training needs assessment
  • Host first flagship networking and knowledge-sharing event

Objectives

  • Establish all four Working Groups with appointed leads
  • Complete regional AI skills gap analysis
  • Deliver first AIGA event with 100+ attendees
  • Publish first quarterly progress report
Q3

Programmes & Pilots

October – December 2025

Goals

  • Launch first AI adoption pilot programmes with partners
  • Secure funding for skills and innovation initiatives
  • Develop responsible AI framework for the region

Objectives

  • Initiate at least 3 cross-sector AI pilot projects
  • Submit funding bids to UKRI, Innovate UK, or regional bodies
  • Publish draft responsible AI guidelines for consultation
  • Grow partner network to 50+ organisations
Q4

Scale & Impact

January – March 2026

Goals

  • Evaluate pilot outcomes and share lessons learned
  • Expand training programmes based on skills gap findings
  • Strengthen national and international AI ecosystem linkages

Objectives

  • Publish pilot programme impact reports with measurable outcomes
  • Launch at least 2 AI upskilling programmes
  • Establish partnerships with national AI bodies
  • Publish annual review and set Year 2 strategic priorities
